Ana Laura Pereira Barbosa is a researcher at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV Direito SP).  She is currently a PhD candidate in Constitutional Law at University of São Paulo, and holds a Bachelor of Law and a Master’s degree in Constitutional Law from the University of São Paulo. Her studies focus on the decisions and the institutional design of the Brazilian Supreme Court (Supremo Tribunal Federal), as well as its consequences for the democratic legitimacy and reputation.
